Agile Product Design

This one day course draws on ideas for User Experience (UX), Extreme Programming, Scrum and Lean Startups. You will design a product as you learn tools that build the usage based context that is essential for building the right thing and saving time and money by not building the wrong thing, or what is not needed.

Topics covered in the course:

  • Agile Background: Principle and values, team composition, agile styles, and an overview of agile practices
  • Big Picture Tools: Collaborative chartering, product road maps
  • Developing Customer and Products: Pragmatic personas, story maps, product backlogs and paper prototypes and sketching
  • Agile Planning and Delivery: Roadmap planning, release planning, iteration planning, cross team planning, distribute planning
  • Iterative Product Learning: Acceptance tests, task boards, burnup charts, kanban, Continuous Integration
  • Learning and Adjusting: Product reviews, pivots, retrospectives
